Rotator Cuff Repair Protocol

Week 1-2

  • Continue use of sling
  • Use ice and compression to reduce inflammation
  • Gripping exercises for hand and elbow
  • Pendulum exercises

Week 3-4

  • Use sling as recommended by surgeon
  • Continue using ice and compression to reduce inflammation
  • Continue all range of motion exercises from Weeks 1-2
  • Supine ER with dowel
  • Start elbow extension

Week 5-6
